The technique
Individual strips of cloth are cut on the grain, softened, then interlaced directly on the body to build structure without visually weighing down the silhouette. Nothing is fused; the weave holds itself.
Worked in
- Vegetable-tanned lambskin
- Washed linen tape
- Silk lining
Open weave over a bias column. Structure without weight.
