The frame
Cloth is tensioned on a wooden frame so the ground never puckers. Two or three makers may work the same frame, matching each other's tension.

The stitch
Metal thread, silk floss, seed beads, sequins applied individually with a hook from beneath the cloth.

A cuff: two days. A bodice: three weeks. A full gown: a season, shared between hands.
