Weaving is the oldest way of making a surface, and still the least forgiving. Every crossing is a decision. Nothing can be corrected later without unmaking what came before.

The technique
Strips are cut on a consistent bias, tensioned, then interlaced over a form so the weave takes the body's curve rather than fighting it.

The material
Fine nappa, silk faille, raffia, treated cotton — anything that will hold a fold without cracking.

What it makes possible
Structure without boning. Volume without weight. Light passing through a garment in a way flat cloth cannot achieve.
